FilmFaced shuttering plywood is a plywood that is very dense with a slick film on both sides of its face and is mainly used for construction purposes for erecting ceilings and cementing. Density means that shuttering plywood consists of at least nine different layers of core veneers that are pressed using high pressure machines at very high temperatures.
So, finally, shuttering plywood has nine inner layers with a smooth film on both sides and an additional film layer on top. So finally, any normal shuttering plywood has a 1+1+9+1+1 construction pattern. This pattern provides extra strength to this plywood so that it can handle heavy loads of concrete mix and roof rails.
To ensure that the plywood is able to support the heavy weight of poured concrete it is pressed to a thickness of 12mm with the density of at least 750kg per cubic meter.
