Block boards are made from a blend of selected, seasoned, durable pine wood. These are bonded under high pressure and temperature with melamine fortified urea formaldehyde resin for MR grade and phenol formaldehyde resin for BWP grade. Block boards are resistant to twisting/warping, have excellent screw holding and nail holding ability. This is mainly possible due to the seasoned and durable pine wood.
All three components of this block board i.e. face veneer, core veneer and wooden battens are well matched. Wooden battens are completely prepared in scientifically operated seasoning kiln plants and then cut with utmost precision to achieve uniform thickness. These battens are arranged systematically and utmost care is taken to avoid any extra gap between the battens.
Regular testing is conducted to maintain the quality of block boards as per IS:1659 standards.
